Core skills pupils will learn:

  • Typing and Word Processing: Developing accurate keyboard skills; creating and formatting documents using word processors.
  • Presentation and Multimedia: Designing slideshows and simple graphics; incorporating images, audio, and video responsibly.
  • Internet Research and Online Safety: Using search engines effectively; understanding cyber safety, privacy, and Islamic etiquette online.
  • Coding and Computational Thinking: Introduction to block-based programming (e.g., Scratch, Micro Bit); learning algorithms, sequences, and problem-solving through coding projects.
  • Digital Citizenship: Respectful communication online; recognising the importance of honesty and responsibility in digital spaces.
