At Palm Global Academy, students in Years 10 and 11 follow the IGCSE curriculum from Pearson Edexcel. Designed for learners across the Middle East, our programme is engaging and encourages independent learning, critical thinking, and deeper academic enquiry.
IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is an internationally recognised qualification and the global equivalent of the GCSE. It is designed to provide students across the Middle East with a strong academic foundation that prepares them for further education and future career pathways.
Students take a core of five International GCSE examination subjects, along with two additional optional subjects from a selected list. This includes a mandatory language choice between Arabic and Urdu, ensuring both academic excellence and regional relevance within the curriculum.
Students have the option to take their IGCSE exams securely from home via remote virtual invigilation.

As part of the core subjects, students will continue to take Islamic Studies in year 10 and 11. This subject is not externally assessed and is not an IGCSE subject.

International students will have two choices (where applicable) when taking their external exams.
a) Take their IGCSE exams with us through the remote virtual exams. This allows the students to sit their exams in the comfort of their home.
b) Register with the British council close to their place of residence to sit the written IGCSE exams.
