PGA is an approved Pearson Edexcel Online Centre for International GCSEs and A-Levels. This means your child has the option to take their IGCSE or IAL exams from home with remote invigilation (subject availability varies).

Monday finishes at 12.45pm
Every lesson, every year group, is live and recorded for revision and catch-up. Maths and English run 3–4 times a week. Work is done in exercise books, not on screen, to keep screen time down.

- Thematic Qur’an Studies, Years 7–11: a structured tafseer programme through the six groups of surahs, the Seerah and hadith — not rote reading.

Can online school really work for my child?
Will I need to teach my child?
No. PGA provides live, teacher-led lessons, structured learning and assessment. Parents support routines, technology and appropriate participation, but they are not expected to design and teach the curriculum.
How do students interact and make friends?
Students learn in live small groups and can interact through teacher-led discussion, breakout rooms, microphone, chat, group work and school activities. PGA also offers community experiences such as clubs and optional residential or outdoor programmes.
How will I know whether my child is progressing?
PGA establishes a baseline, checks progress and engagement around half term, then provides end-of-term assessment results, subject-specialist parent meetings and clear targets for what comes next.
Can students work towards IGCSEs and A-Levels?
Yes. PGA offers Edexcel International GCSE and International A-Level pathways and is an approved Pearson Edexcel Online Centre.
What technology will my child need?
A laptop (screen of at least 15 inches) or desktop (screen of at least 21 inches) with a modern operating system, webcam, headset with microphone and a stable connection (10 Mbps down / 2 Mbps up). PGA recommends at least 8 GB RAM and a quiet, well-lit workspace. Most work is done in exercise books and photographed for marking, so screen time is kept down.
Can students join from outside the UK?
Yes. The school runs on UK time, 8.15am–1.45pm. Overseas students are welcome where that timetable is practical for the family and the student has strong written and spoken English.
My child has additional needs (SEND). Can PGA support them?
PGA is a selective school: every student sits an admissions assessment before a place is offered. Students with SEND are considered on a case-by-case basis — tell us about your child’s needs when you apply and we will discuss what support is realistic before any assessment.
Are lessons recorded if my child misses one?
Yes. Every lesson is delivered live at its timetabled slot, and every lesson is recorded. Students and parents have access to all recordings and lesson resources through the school portal.
