Learning resources: All digital resources and subscriptions included. A recommended textbook list is given to all parents at the time of admission which is not part of the school fees.
Currency: All school fees invoices are payable in AED or USD only.
Payment Options
Annual (best value)
Receive AED 1,000 off the fees when paying in full, at the beginning of the academic year.
Termly
3 termly instalments at the beginning of every term – typically September, January and April.
Monthly
School fees are spread across 12 equal monthly payments from September to August.
Accepted methods: Bank transfer, direct debit/standing order.
Monthly payment plan: All parents choosing to pay monthly must commit to setting up a standing order or recurring payment plan through their bank.
Computer Requirements
Device
- Laptop/desktop with a modern OS (Windows 10+/macOS 12+/ChromeOS)
- Processor equivalent to Intel i5/Apple M-series (or better)
- 8 GB RAM minimum (16 GB recommended if multiple apps open)
- Built-in or USB webcam
- Headset with microphone (reduces echo and background noise)
Internet
- Stable connection ≥10 Mbps down / ≥2 Mbps up (per student)
- Prefer wired/Ethernet where possible; otherwise strong Wi-Fi near the router
Software & browser
- Latest Chrome or Edge for classes and the parent portal
- Access to the video platform used for lessons (e.g., Zoom/Teams)
- Ability to install approved learning apps (with admin permissions)
Workspace
- Quiet, well-lit area, desk/table and basic stationery
- Power outlet or reliable battery; consider a backup device if available
Safeguarding & privacy
- Students should use school accounts only; keep cameras on during lessons unless instructed.
- Parents oversee appropriate use and help ensure safe, respectful participation.

FAQs
Lessons will be delivered via MS Teams and other software that will enable teachers to conduct formative assessment and make the lessons interactive.
Live lessons are 40 minutes at KS2 (Y3-6) and 45 minutes at Secondary.
This differs based on year group and key stage. As a guide, students in Y3/Y4 have 3 live lessons a week for Maths and English, whereas students in Secondary will have the same subjects at 3 or 4 times a week. Other than the live lessons, students will be given work to complete for homework as well as independent study time during the school day.
All lessons are live delivered by specialist teachers to students at scheduled times. Students interact with the teacher either by microphone or in our live classroom chat. All lessons are recorded. You will have access to all the lesson resources for each class.
A book list will be provided to parents once their child has enrolled with the school. Careful consideration has been taken to ensure that only books which are required need to be purchased. Not all subjects will be requesting parents to purchase textbooks.
At Palm Global Academy we are very conscious of that fact that too much screen time is not good for the students. Our daily timetable reflects this and so does the methods of how students complete their work. It is expected that in most subjects, students will complete work in exercise books and upload images of their work when completed. Using the features in our various platforms, teachers will be able to provide feedback in a variety of ways including annotation, audio and video.
